Four days of dancing and lazing about in the the Spanish countryside, enjoying the last bit of warmth from the season. There will be a light class schedule during the day, and dancing all night long to incredible music under the stars.
The historic countryside schoolhouse will look familiar to those of you who were at EBX or Tinto de Recess. Expect a wide array of music from blues, soul, funk, hip hop, dance hall, latin, to electronic, and everything in between.
There will be communal meals and lodging, this is a residential event and all will be hosted at our venue location with a mix of camping and paid bed options.

✨ Vision
We envision a space where social partner dancers come together as social partner dancers first and then dancers of a style, to recognize that there is one language of social partner dancing and we chose whether or not to dance dialects of that language.

We have looked far and wide for the perfect DJs and musicians to be part of Dance Blender. All of them are versatile in what they play and are ready to have the music dance your socks off, for over 20 hours of parties across two rooms!
We will be having two rooms during the main party with changing themes every hour throughout the night. These themes are dance style agnostic and the majority of the music played will not be of a particular dance style, more details to come.

The Dance Thing is a summertime fusion weekend just north of Seattle, WA. During the day, you can participate in community-driven activities and workshops, or relax and explore the beautiful 50 acres of land the lodge is on. At night you’ll be dancing to your favorite live and DJ’d music until the wee hours of the morning.
This is a CAMPING EVENT, no beds will be available for purchase during registration. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact our accessibility coordinator and we will gladly work to accommodate you.
